A high-quality nonstick pan can significantly simplify the cooking of delicate foods like fish and eggs.

I was excited to try out Made In nonstick pans, especially since my trusty 5+ year old nonstick pans were showing signs of aging and just weren’t as nonstick as they use to be.

About Made In Cookware

Made In aims to disrupt the cookware market as a Direct-to-Consumer brand, competing directly with other manufacturer’s of clad cookware. Its pans are 5-ply, with its frying pans having a total thickness of 2.7mm.

Made in Nonstick Cookware Review

I got the full set of frying pans, which includes a 8″, 10″, and 12″ skillet. Mine came in the ‘Harbour Blue’ color, a subtle blue that truly makes this pan stand out. Alternatively, you can choose from other unique colors like ‘Desert Tan,’ ‘Frozen Berry,’ ‘Silver Lake,’ and ‘Pomme Red,’ or opt for a more traditional choice like ‘graphite.'”

Made in Nonstick Performance

One of the first things I cooked in the pan was a simple fried egg, and as expected, they glided effortlessly around the pan. Omelettes were just as easy to prepare.

I also prepared some potato crusted cod, frying it to a perfect golden brown with a satisfying sizzle. The cod released easily, and I was able to pair it with a quick broccoli side dish.

Made In Nonstick Look and Feel

Out of all the nonstick pans I’ve tested, Made In had the most satisfying feel. With their cladded design, they felt robust and durable without being overly heavy. The handles were also very comfortable, especially compared to All Clad’s. I also prefer the brushed stainless exterior of Made In cookware compared to the polished stainless steel of some of the competition.

Made In Cookware Heat Distribution

According to my heat distribution tests, the pans did a okay job of distributing heat across the entire diameter when placed on an undersized induction burner. Heat distribution wasn’t an issue though when pans were placed on properly sized burners, so I suggest ensuring that you have a properly sized burner for your pan.

It’s important to note that the advertised diameter of the pan is the measurement of the diameter at the top. The diameter on the bottom, also known as the cooking surface, differs significantly. For instance, the advertised 12″ pan actually has a bottom diameter of about 9.5″, the 10″ pan has a bottom diameter of about 7.5″, and the 8″ pan has a bottom diameter of about 5″

Conclusion

In summary, Made In nonstick pans offer excellent nonstick performance, an appealing look and feel, and perform well on properly sized heat sources.

Made In nonstick pans are manufactured in Italy.
