Several years back, I purchased the Le Creuset Revolution Bi-Material Sauté Spoon and fell in love with it. It quickly became my favorite spoon as it combined both the rigidity of glass-filled nylon with the flexibility of silicone. The rigidity of the spoon aided in scraping up stuck-on food while the silicone helped cleanly scrape up the sides of bowls and pans. This made it a great option for deglazing as it allowed me to really scrape the bottom of the pan while ensuring I incorporated every last bit of fond into my pan sauce.
However, the Le Creuset Revolution Bi-Material Sauté Spoon has failed me twice. My first spoon had the silicone tip detach from the nylon after less than a year in use. My replacement Le Creuset spoon recently snapped in half when I was mixing muffin batter with it. While it’s a great spoon, it seems to need some serious improvements in longevity. I needed an alternative to my Le Creuset Revolution Bi-Material Sauté Spoon.
That’s why I was excited when I got a chance to try Dreamfarm’s Supoon and write this review for it. The Supoon is similar to Le Creuset’s sauté spoon in that it contains two materials; a hard nylon handle and core and a silicone spoon. The nylon actually extends down to the spoon; however, the silicone completely covers it with a little bit extending out like a squeegee. This design is an improvement compared to the Le Creuset as it eliminated the first point of failure I experienced with the Le Creuset Sauté Spoon (the silicone detaching from the nylon).

The big selling point for the Supoon is the kink its handle, which keeps it elevated above countertops; this is great for ensuring that you don’t cross contaminate as it keeps your spoon from touching other surfaces! This kink actually eliminates the second point of failure that affected my Le Creuset Sauté spoon; the kink reduces the amount of force in the middle of the handle when dealing with tough doughs, making it much less likely to snap in half.
One final feature of the Supoon that is missing from the Le Creuset Sauté spoon is teaspoon and tablespoon markings inside the spoon. These markings are super handy when you need to measure out small quantities to add to your stir fry. It’s not a necessity, but it’s a nice addition!
The Supoon comes in many colors including red, orange, pink, yellow, green, blue, purple, white, grey, and black. It is dishwasher safe and BPA free. And the silicone makes it safe for nonstick pans and heat resistant to 500°F.
