In-Depth Comparison

Capacity and Size

he FS301 features a larger 88 oz vessel with a maximum fill line of 64 oz, offering more capacity compared to the FS300’s 72 oz vessel with a 48 oz maximum fill line. This makes the FS301 more suitable for larger gatherings or when you want to make more servings in one go. However, the FS300’s slightly smaller size might be a better fit if counter space is a concern.

Preset Programs

The FS301 offers a wider range of preset programs, including five options: Frappé, Frozen Juice, Slush, Spiked Slush, and Milkshake. In comparison, the FS300 comes with three presets: Slush, Spiked Slush, and Milkshake, leaving out the Frappé and Frozen Juice settings.

However, you can replicate the missing presets on the FS300 using the manual control. Just use 2 bars for a frappé and 1 bar for frozen juice.

Availability

The FS300 is a Walmart exclusive, which means you’ll need to shop there if this model catches your eye. The FS301, however, is more widely available across various retailers, giving you more flexibility in where you purchase it.

Price and Value

Generally, the FS300 is priced slightly lower, making it an attractive option if you’re on a budget or if you don’t need the additional presets offered by the FS301. However, the FS301’s added capacity and extra preset programs might justify the higher price if you’re looking for more versatility in your frozen drink-making experience.

Conclusion: What Ninja SLUSHi is Best for Me?

Both the Ninja SLUSHi FS300 and FS301 are excellent choices for making frozen drinks at home. If you prioritize capacity and a variety of preset options, the FS301 is likely the better choice. However, if you’re looking for a more compact machine with essential features, and perhaps a slightly lower price point, the FS300 could be perfect for you.

Either way, both models bring the fun of slushies, milkshakes, and more to your kitchen, making it easy to enjoy these treats whenever you like!

    1. Yes. At minimum you can do 16oz – you don’t need to fill it to the top. Sí.

I don’t speak Spanish, but this is a translation I got online: Como mínimo puedes hacer 16 oz; no necesitas llenarlo hasta arriba.

  1. Has anyone done a side-by-side comparison test of these two models? This entire article is written based off of advertised features. That’s fine, and a good summary, but I’m more curious about whether or not there are differences that aren’t advertised. Do the cold cores have the same dimensions? If not, do both models freeze the slushy just as quickly? (Seems they wouldn’t if they have different surface areas, but there are other variables to consider). I see on the Ninja website that the auger is a different for each model; that that have any effect of functionality? Do the cold level settings match between the two, or will people using the smaller model need to adjust temperature settings on recipes they find for the more common bigger model? I can’t find any answers to these questions online yet, but maybe Sizzle and Sear will have the opportunity to perform a proper hands-on comparison soon!
